Stichting STRP is een zelfstandige stichting die culturele activiteiten op het grensvlak van kunst en technologie organiseert. Het belangrijkste product is het STRP festival, met meer dan twintigduizend bezoekers en meer dan 150 programma-items een van de grootste kunst- en technologiefestivals van Europa. Van 1 tot en met 8 mei 2010 gaat in Leuven de zesde editie van het internationaal documentaire filmfestival DOCVILLE door. DOCVILLE presenteert ieder jaar een selectie uit de nieuwste binnen- en buitenlandse documentaire films. Speerpunten in het programma zijn een lange reeks avant-premières en de nationale en internationale competitie, waarin het festival een overzicht brengt van de beste recente werken. Daarnaast presenteert DOCVILLE jaarlijks een aantal thematische reeksen en focust het op nieuwe trends in de internationale documentaire filmwereld.

Aanmelding residency Rijksakadenmie

De Rijksakademie heeft vijfenvijftig ateliers. Daarvan komt ieder jaar ongeveer de helft vrij voor nieuwe residents. In 2009 zijn uit de 2000 aanmeldingen uit een verscheidenheid aan landen drieëntwintig kunstenaars geselecteerd voor een residency. Resident artists hebben over het algemeen een (kunst)opleiding afgerond en werken reeds drie tot vijf jaar als zelfstandig kunstenaar. De praktijk wijst uit dat een residency aan de Rijksakademie in deze fase van de loopbaan het grootste effect heeft.
